What You Will Learn

During the four-week program, students will learn how a Transaction Coordinator manages a real estate transaction from contract execution through closing, including:

  • Understanding the role of the Transaction Coordinator

  • Reviewing an executed real estate contract

  • Identifying important contract dates and deadlines

  • Creating and organizing a transaction file

  • Building a contingency and deadline calendar

  • Tracking escrow and deposit requirements

  • Coordinating inspections and other contingencies

  • Understanding financing and appraisal milestones

  • Working with agents, lenders, title companies, attorneys, and other transaction parties

  • Reviewing transaction documents for completeness

  • Preparing the transaction for closing

  • Conducting a final transaction file review

  • Applying a systematic contract-to-close workflow across different states

A National Approach to Transaction Coordination

Real estate contracts, forms, terminology, procedures, and requirements vary from state to state.

The National Transaction Coordinator Certificate Program focuses on teaching students a universal transaction-management process that can be applied when working with the contracts, forms, procedures, and requirements used in their individual states.

The goal is to teach students how to analyze, organize, track, and manage a real estate transaction from contract to closing, rather than simply memorizing one particular state's contract.

Hands-On Assignments

This is more than a lecture program.

Students will complete practical assignments designed to demonstrate their ability to apply the concepts covered during the live sessions.

Assignments may include:

  • Contract review

  • Transaction setup

  • Contingency and deadline tracking

  • Document review

  • Transaction file auditing

  • Contract-to-close workflow management

Students must successfully complete the required assignments and satisfy all program requirements in order to qualify for the certificate.
